About the Club

Cotswold Astronomical Society meet on the second Saturday of every month at Deer Park Archers, Cheltenham, at 7:30pm.

The meetings normally start with a speaker on some subject of astronomical interest, then a break for tea or coffee and a chat, and then a further session which often includes members observational results, what’s up in the sky, or constellation lore. If it is clear, members can go outside for observing.

They also run telescope workshops / viewing sessions at Deer Park once a month, 2 weeks after the main meeting but on a Sunday. Details of all meeting dates and times are listed on their website. These sessions are free and open to the public
