About the Club

Welcome to Central Midlands Stargazers (serving Warwickshire, Southern Leicestershire and Northants) We are a new Society formed in February 2012 by members of a social group on the Stargazers Lounge Forum. We are primarily a very active observing Group we meet up most weekends when the Skies are clear to observe.

The society exists to serve amateur astronomers who would like to meet up with like minded people at dark sites for informal observing sessions. We welcome all abilities whether beginners or experienced observers, with or without equipment, who share our enthusiasm. We aim to observe at a range of Dark sites throughout the region.

We also aim to have social meetings in Coventry where we can have talks, discussions and workshops. Currently we have a dark site east of Rugby near Sibbertoft in Northants and we hope to have further dark sites near Market Bosworth and Southam in the near future.
