Keighley Astronomical Society
About the Club
The Keighley Astronomical Society was established in September 2011. To promote the study of Astronomy and related fields. Members come from all walks of life. We share a common passion for Science, Astronomy and Space exploration. We offer a full programe of monthly meetings covering what can be observed during the coming month in the night sky. A study of the solar system, Galaxies and the universe. All backed up with a presentation in a planetarium and audio visual presentations. We issue via E-mail a monthly newsletter, and access to a dark sky observing site run by our friends at Raygill Astronomy club, and much more.
Our entrance fee is very reasonable, there is no annual fee, just £3 per head on the door for each meeting you attend. There are reduced rates of £1 per head for under 17 year old's, full time students and unemployed.
