Maidenhead Astronomical Society

About the Club

We are a friendly group of astronomers of all ages and abilities and welcome new members or visitors. Our meetings are usually held on the first Friday of each month with regular members only observing events. We also have a full outreach programme of events for the general public as well as specific schools and club support, such as scouts, brownies and beavers for example.

We actively take part in events such as Stargazing Live and National Astronomy week events and more local events where we can encourage interest and we do have members social events such as trips etc.

Our Society was founded in 1957 and we continue to encourage new people to take part in astronomy whatever interest, and have family groups of members.

Please check our website and Twitter feed for up to date details and contact us via our web form which we usually reply to within 48 hours or less.
