Herstmonceux Astronomy Festival
Each year Herstmonceux hosts an astronomy festival. At these events people can come along and learn about astronomy as well as touring the grounds.
Usually there are displays and stands from different astronomical societies as well as demonstrations of their telescopes. If you are just starting out in astronomy or need advice about telescopes this is a perfect opportunity to learn from people that use them all the time.
If you wish to visit for more than one day you can always bring a tent as camping is available.

Astronomy Festival 2012
This year the Herstmonceux Astronomy Festival will be held on September 7th, 8th & 9th, with the main event days being on the Saturday and Sunday.
There will be a raffle where you could win a Meade telescope.
